Announcing Our New Diversity Scholarship

Since Sage Corps’ first cohort in 2013, it’s been our mission to make the intern abroad experience accessible and affordable to as many young people as possible, regardless of race, gender, culture, background, or identity.

Our efforts have been met with extreme success; while 70% of college students who study abroad are white, 50% of our alumni come from minority backgrounds. 18% of them are considered members of populations that are critically underrepresented in tech. And just last year, with the help of many generous partners, we were able to allocate a total of $60,000 in scholarship funds to students who would have been otherwise unable to participate in our program.

But at Sage Corps, the sky is the limit – which is why we couldn’t just stop there. We’re excited to announce our new diversity scholarship for candidates who reflect our values and wish to help build a more diverse Sage Corps community.

This partial scholarship is designed to help underrepresented students participate in our global entrepreneurship program, interning abroad for 8-12 weeks with a global startup while living like a local. Program alumni also join the Sage Network, our exclusive community of industry professionals and mentors who provide long-term career guidance and connections. We’re helping students get the real-world experience and skills they need to launch their careers.
