Sage Corps Named Finalist in Awards for Innovative New Intern Abroad Program

Sage Corps was honored to be a finalist in the 2021 GoAbroad Innovation Awards in the “Innovative New Program – Intern Abroad” Category! This award honors an inventive and unique internship program, focusing on successful program development and execution, as well as overall creativity.

Since 2013, Sage Corps has run international internship programs for thousands of college students to work abroad with international startups. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Sage Corps pivoted to offer the best possible opportunities for both students and startups. Our Online Career Accelerator Program provides students with a structured program to navigate their career paths.

“This has been by far my most rewarding professional experience. I learned many important lessons regarding all business areas. I also gained a lot of experience that will allow me to be steps ahead once I finish my mechatronics major. I was guided and supported through all the program. Although it was a remote internship, I connected with people from around the world and made long-lasting friendships at work.

— Paola Gomez, Summer 2020 Alum

Students tackle 50+ hours of hard skills training, an online internship experience at a global startup company, and attend virtual professional events. Events range from Q&As with accomplished professionals about their expertise, industry events for students to hone their professional skills, and fireside chats with alumni of our program, who now work at leading companies such as Google, Nike, and more. The holistic approach to our online career accelerator equips college students with key professional knowledge that prepares them for trending jobs. Our programs even offer transferable academic credit.

Our online career accelerator program makes the global work experience accessible and affordable. Virtual international internships grant college students flexibility, financial savings, and insight into the modern, remote workplace. During the online hard skills training, students learn remote work best practices, virtual interview prep, and so much more.

“I think it was a great opportunity, especially during COVID to stay busy, learn, and grow in the field you may or may not have been interested in. I felt like I had a responsibility every day and this made things productive for me. I also met a lot of cool people in Australia.

— Abby Meyers, Princeton University
