START! PROGRAM: SHORT TERM CONSULTING PROGRAM ABROAD
The Start! program allows students to work in teams on consulting projects for startups abroad, with plenty of time to explore an amazing global city. This short term program is ideal for students who want international experience without sacrificing other full semester or summer opportunities. What happens on a Start! program?
1. SAGE CORPS SKILLS ACADEMY
Before you leave, you’ll complete an online curriculum designed to prepare you for a comprehensive professional experience. The curriculum is personalized to each student, but may include courses such as: professional networking, professional hard-skill training (sales, analytics, marketing, design etc.), self-assessment, and cultural preparations.
2. CONSULT FOR A STARTUP ABROAD
You will be assigned to a group based on your skillset, and the startup client’s needs for that program. You will receive a project brief that explains the startup’s challenge you will be working on for the program. During the abroad program, you will have dedicated working sessions with your group, scheduled practice presentation sessions and then a final presentation to your startup client.
3. EXPLORE YOUR HOST CITY
Throughout the program you’ll attend scheduled events and activities, plus a full day excursion with your cohort and our staff to explore the city. You’ll also have built in free time to experience the city as you choose.
4. EARN ACADEMIC CREDIT
Subject to your home university’s pre-approval, you are eligible to enroll in an online course through our school of record to earn 3 academic credits.
