SUMMER 2027 INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS FOR ILLINOIS STUDENTS

Build career experience with a startup while spending your summer abroad.

Sage Corps gives University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students the opportunity to spend 8 weeks interning full-time with a startup abroad, while building professional skills, experiencing a new culture, and connecting with an international community.

MORE THAN AN INTERNSHIP ABROAD

A three-part experience that blends academic learning, professional work, and cultural immersion.

PREPARE
Before your internship begins, you’ll complete the Sage Corps Skills Academy, designed to help you prepare for the startup environment and strengthen skills you’ll use throughout your internship.

INTERN
Spend 8 weeks working full-time with a startup and contributing to real projects. Internship matching considers your interests, skills, experience, and qualifications, along with the needs and opportunities available at our startup partners.

EXPERIENCE
Live and intern in a global city alongside other Sage Corps students. You’ll participate in cultural and professional activities and have support from the Sage Corps team throughout your experience.

APPLYING AS A UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS STUDENT

Sage Corps works with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to support students interested in participating in our international internship programs.

Sage Corps Summer 2027 applications will open in November.

Illinois students may also have additional university application, approval, or enrollment steps to complete.

We’re currently finalizing the Summer 2027 Illinois application process and deadlines with the university and will update this page as those details are confirmed.
