It’s been more than two years since we’ve sent ambitious groups of Sage Corps students abroad for transformative internship experiences, and what a wait it’s been. But we are back and proud to announce that our 2022 summer cohort is now scattered across the globe, getting acquainted with their new workplace and temporary homes.
We whittled down more than 1,500 applications to just over 140 successful Sage Corps fellows who will now be learning the ropes in global startups.
Of those successful applicants, 85% are now getting acquainted with one of seven cities worldwide. The other 15% have chosen the complex task of navigating their internship from home, balancing jobs and commitments while gaining valuable modern-world experience.
Our fellows hail from all across the country, representing 50 outstanding colleges and universities. Our partners at University of Colorado – Boulder sent twenty-four students from the Rockies, but Northwestern, University of Michigan, Harvard University, Vanderbilt University, and Stanford University all have strong representation in this cohort as well.

With these top universities represented, it’s no surprise that our group is a smart bunch. They have a collective GPA of 3.6, spanning seventy different majors. Just to show off, more than half of them speak two languages.
Beyond strong academic backgrounds, our cohort brings rich diversity to our program. Our students represent 25 different home countries, 60% women, and 51% identify as a racial minority.
The summer represents a huge opportunity for these wonderful young students. Not only are they brave enough to step into the unknown, but they are also gaining a real-world understanding of the global workplace through the lens of a high-pressure, fast paced startup.
