Sage Corps HQ Team
Founder & CEO
Matt's prior experience living, studying and working abroad inspired him to create Sage Corps...on a legal pad. Previously, Matt was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago where he represented Latin American companies in U.S. litigations and corporate investigations. Prior to Kirkland, Matt was a law clerk for the Honorable Federico A. Moreno, Chief Judge for the Southern District of Florida. Matt graduated cum laude from Northwestern Law School, and summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in international relations and Spanish. Aside from his legal and academic training, Matt is a camp counselor at heart. He spent many summers in northern Wisconsin at Camp Kawaga and Horseshoe. When he isn't speaking with top university students, or parachuting into foreign countries to open new markets for Sage Corps, Matt spends his time touring Chicago construction sites and fire stations and fighting off ninjas with his demanding/hilarious sons, new baby daughter, and his incredibly patient and loving wife.

Director of Alumni Programming
Rachel's role on the Sage Corps team lets her bring together her past professional experience as an educator and a consultant. After studying and interning abroad in London, Rachel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and joined Accenture. Five years later to push herself out of her own comfort zone, Rachel earned a Master's degree in secondary education from Northwestern University and went on to teach high school. Now she loves constantly developing Sage Corps' programming to fit the needs of its Fellows and Alums.

Cara Rebernick (and Mosley, the Sage Corps pup)
Director of Programming
Some say they were born a writer. Not Cara. She was born a baby, and the whole writing thing came later on. Cara was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she attended undergrad at Columbia College. She now studies at UWM where she's working towards her Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership in Higher Education. Her fascination with travel, international cultures, and good coffee led her to explore many different places around the world. Cara now spends her days developing programming, energizing, and laughing with the Sage Corps community. She spends her days with her cat (Kevin), dog (Mosley), and wife (Hannah).

Beginning as Sage Corps’s marketing intern back in her collegiate days, we decided Sarah was cool enough to stay. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received a double undergraduate degree in Communication and Psychology. Sarah gets the best of both worlds everyday by assisting program operations AND keeping Sage Corps’s brand in-check. Other talents include (but are not limited to) locating the best burger joints and creating bumpin’ playlists.

Taylor is a walking example of the power of an international professional experience. While interning abroad in Tours, France the summer before her senior year at the University of Michigan, Taylor was inspired to pursue her passion for the French language and culture. As a result, she later earned her Master of Arts in French and Francophone Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also served as a French Instructor. Now, at Sage Corps, she loves combining her passions for writing and communications, higher education, and intercultural exchange to help other students have life-changing experiences abroad.
