Participate through CU Boulder Education Abroad
Business majors who have completed BCOR requirements, and CMCI students, can participate in Sage Corps through the Education Abroad office, combining an international internship with academic credit, university support, and a choice of 5 approved cities.
Students in other majors are not eligible to enroll through Education Abroad, but can still join Sage Corps directly — see which pathway fits you below.
CU BOULDER APPLICATION PROCESS
Two applications. One international experience.
Students participating through Education Abroad should complete both the university application and the Sage Corps admissions process.
Application 1
Apply Through CU Boulder Education Abroad
Choose your approved Summer 2027 location and complete the CU Boulder Education Abroad application for that city.
Application 2
Apply to Sage Corps
Complete the Sage Corps application and interview process for the Summer Internship Abroad Program.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Two Ways to Join Sage Corps
CU Boulder students can participate through CU Boulder Education Abroad or directly with Sage Corps. Your pathway determines your university process, academic credit options, funding eligibility, and available locations.
Through Education Abroad
Eligible majors: Business majors who have completed BCOR (Business Core) requirements, and CMCI (Media, Communication & Information) students.
Includes 6 credits of CU Boulder academic credit, Education Abroad advising and support, and eligibility for study abroad funding. Limited to the 5 approved cities: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Madrid, and Paris.
Direct with Sage Corps
Open to: Students in any major not eligible through Education Abroad (or who simply prefer to enroll independently).
No CU Boulder academic credit or Education Abroad support — students apply and interview with Sage Corps directly, choosing from Sage Corps’ full slate of global cities.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to participate through CU Boulder Education Abroad?
No. CU Boulder students may participate through Education Abroad if eligible or participate directly with Sage Corps.
What if I'm not eligible through Education Abroad?
You may still be able to participate directly with Sage Corps. The direct pathway is independent from the CU Boulder Education Abroad process.
Can I use financial aid or scholarships?
Eligible students participating through an approved CU Boulder Education Abroad program may be able to use financial aid or scholarships. Individual eligibility varies.
Will my internship be paid?
Some startups provide a small stipend to help with expenses like food or transportation. Because many partners are early-stage, stipends are not guaranteed and shouldn’t be counted on as primary funding. If offered, stipends are paid at the end of the program, provided you have completed the internship successfully.
