Semester Abroad with Immersive Internship
Upcoming Programs: Fall 2019 and Spring 2020
*Please note that program dates are subject to change up to 90 days before the start of the program
For the 16-week semester program, you’ll attend university as a full-time student while working part-time alongside CEOs, CMOs, and CTOs to build real solutions to real problems. Your days won’t consist of coffee runs and making copies. Instead, you’ll attend class at an university and then build a supply chain or go-to-market strategy for an eCommerce site. Study abroad with Sage Corps and have the experience of a life time!
You’ll live like a local, both personally and professionally. During our weekly on-site professional development programming, you’ll build a global network. Forget the touristy vacation experience—our fellows feel connected with and immersed in the local culture.
Sage Corps is more than a study abroad program. Here’s what our semester entrepreneurship programs look like:
1. PRE-DEPARTURE MODULES
Before you leave, you’ll complete an online curriculum designed to prepare you for a comprehensive professional experience. The curriculum consists of several different courses, including professional networking, building your online professional presence, resume building, up-skilling, and self care while abroad.
2. ON-SITE ORIENTATION
Upon arrival in your program city, you’ll attend a two-day orientation designed to acquaint you with your new home and prepare you to make the most out of your internship. A sample orientation schedule might look something like this:
3. Direct Enrollment in partner University
You can earn academic credit by taking courses at an accredited partner university. Our team will work with you to help transfer credits back to your home university. You’ll be able to attend classes with local students and gain further immersion into the local culture.
4. Part-time INTERNSHIP AT A GLOBAL STARTUP
Our team of expert careers professionals matches you to an internship with a premiere startup based on your skills, background, and goals. We have roles in business development, marketing as well as data and tech, but all majors are welcome. Startups cover all industries, such as education, sustainability, finance, retail, travel, and food, among others. Some startups will also offer stipends to cover basic day-to-day costs.
5. WEEKLY EVENT PROGRAMMING
Each week, you’ll attend a professional event with your cohort and city manager. Events can range from panel discussions to company visits to pitch events. We also organize some cohort dinners and a cultural excursion.
