The Great Chicago Fire didn't stop Chicago from becoming one of the largest and most vibrant cities in the world. And now, the city has a blazing tech startup scene so innovative that it was recently crowned by KPMG as one of the world's top 10 tech innovation hubs.
Home to 1871, a massive co-working space that hosts startups, incubators and accelerators, and mHub, a new space for hardware startups, Chicago boasts a diverse and extremely active startup community. The Windy City is incredibly accessible to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to learn and get their foot in the door.
“The number one reason I would recommend Sage Corps is because of the connections established throughout the program: connections with Sage Corps staff, fellows, startups, other companies, and alumni. Though I did not go abroad, Chicago was still a 'new' place to me because I never consistently visited the city. I'm glad I was able to finally explore Chicago, and I'm sure cities abroad are great too! . Lastly, working at a start-up is pretty awesome, so it's something that I would recommend to others.”
